An Eggless Omelet Video, Tipping Chefs and Eggnog – A Few of My Favorite Things

Tags: ,

Another month has passed . . . too many leaves in our yard, another promotion for my chef/husband, still adjusting to having all the girls in school, Seattle Restaurant Week is over tonight (maybe we can see my husband for a minute!!), and now the holidays are just around the corner (which makes me miss my husband even more than I already do)!  Crazy.

In the midst of the craziness I found a few things entertaining . . .I learned there are 25 things chefs never tell you.  Hmmmm . . . not sure about all of those, but it’s an interesting read.

Going along with my husband’s obsession with Top Ramen, I found this article.  This looks much more like something I would eat.  (I refuse to eat Top Ramen!)

Apparently making grilled cheese in a pan has now become too difficult for some people.  I wonder if these actually work?

I came across this great article about the life of a chef’s wife.  Read it.  It’s wonderful!

My husband laughed hysterically at this WIMP video.  I could just see this happening in the kitchen . . .

I attempted clothes shopping at the mall yet again and was reminded how much I love Stitch Fix.  Seriously.  If you haven’t tried it yet, you should.  If they can send me 2 boxes in which EVERY ITEM FITS my 6’1″ self . . . words cannot express how amazing this truly is!!  (And I wrote a page on the website about it and have been getting a ton of traffic to that page.  Who knew??)

I had another post published on the Huffington Post.  Woohoo!!  I bet many of you could make a list of things you’ve learned in the kitchen from your chef/husband as well!!

Costco is now selling Darigold Eggnog and Starbucks Christmas Blend K-Cups!  🙂  Between the new Trader Joe’s near me, a new Mod Pizza opening up and those two things, I’m going to need to start exercising more.

I read an article about tipping chefs which I couldn’t get out of my mind.  Here are my thoughts on the different pay between the front and back of house in a restaurant.

A couple other Chefwives have started blogging.  I’m sure they’d love it if you’d visit them and make a comment.  🙂

Well that’s it for this month.  If you found anything interesting, please share it in the comments.  🙂  As always, thanks for reading!
