The Chef Wives are Talking . . .

I don’t know about you, but I really enjoy reading what other chef wives and girlfriends have to say about this crazy life we live being married to a chef.

I’m guessing you enjoy reading about it too since you are on my blog right now.  (Thanks!)

If you’ve never written a blog before, it’s not as easy as you think.  A lot of time goes into writing posts and even more time goes in to promoting them.  (Because who wants to take all that time write a post and only have 5 people read it?)

It’s also a bit of a risk.  I’m just a normal person who is willing to share part of my life on the internet.  That’s a bit scary if you think about it.  I will always be honest when sharing about our family, and because of that, sometimes it’s really personal and I’m not quite sure how people will respond.  That’s tough.

As a blogger, you also run the risk of coming across as an expert on whatever you are writing about.    (Can you hear me laughing?)  I by no means have everything figured out.  But that’s why I like writing about it. . . none of us have it all figured out!  It’s nice to know I am not alone!

So for the next few Fridays, I’m going to give you a list of blog posts and blogs that I’ve found over the past year written by some of our fellow chef wives.  While there are a lot of chef wives who blog, I’m only going to post specific posts and blogs that talk about being married to or dating a chef (no recipes or food posts).

Since the majority of us are home without our chefs on Friday and Saturday evenings, I thought Friday would be the perfect day.  So glad a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and something yummy to eat, and enjoy reading what other chef wives are saying.

And don’t forget to check back next Friday for more posts and blogs to read!

This is a nice “round up” you are doing for the Real Chef Wives of…..never mind, I won’t go there. Cute stuff. Now my eye was caught by the listing of Chef’s Widow……but a quick visit showed me that it was a tongue-in-cheek remark. (Thank goodness.) Keep on posting, you are obviously doing it all right!

Great idea Jennifer, you’re full of them! Can you tell me how to run my blog as well as you do yours? Or better yet, tell Chef, his is still in its infancy.

Thanks for the compliment. Traffic is slowly growing . . . wish I had more time to spend on it, but taking care of the kids and home has to come first. 🙂 When all 3 kids are in school full time next year, I’d like to do something with the simpleseasonallocal website that I’m attached to. Chef doesn’t have time right now to work on it with me, so I’m thinking about what I could do when I have a bit more time. We’ll see if I can come up with something . . .
